From Sai Inspires

Religion is being condemned as the root of chaos and conflict. In spite of great progress in many other areas of life, religious animosity is aflame even today in many parts of the world. It has to be emphasised that religion is not the root cause of this state of affairs. The factional fights and fanatic hatred are due to the unruly ego that is given free play. Religion strives to destroy just this vicious tendency. So it has to be supported, not condemned. What has to be condemned is the narrow, perverted attitude of hating those who do not agree with you or who hold different opinions of the mysterious force that animates the universe. When people are blind to the truth that the human family is one indivisible Unity, they grope in the dark and are afraid of strange touch. The cultivation of love, alone, can convince man of this truth that there is only one caste - the caste of Humanity, and only one religion - the religion of Love. Since no religion upholds violence or despises love, it is wrong to ascribe the chaos to religion. -Divine Discourse,  October 1, 1976.

Clearing the negative ego

I received an interesting question recently and it was, "I am not a student of I AM University, can I still clear the negative ego?"

My answer is of course!

Whatever your religion, school of thought or spiritual practices, as long as you dedicate your time and energy to engage in developing and refining your consciousness and learn to spot the negative ego at work within your own consciousness, you can transcend the negative ego. And work towards integrating God/Christ/Buddha/Spiritual/Ascended Masters' consciousness.

The work of I AM University is focused on assisting initiates to develop and refine one's consciousness, and the materials and curriculum cover a full spectrum teachings of all major religions/school of thought on earth. And admittedly, the curriculum and materials do make things a lot easier for people. But even though one may not be an official student of the I AM University, it does not mean that they cannot clear the negative ego.

Some key qualities that one must have in order to clear the negative ego are: discipline, self honesty, humility, humbleness, discernment, defenselessness (as opposed to being defensive), open mindedness, trusting one's inner guidance and to balance this with being open to receiving guidance from others (if one is not open to receiving guidance from others who have walked ahead then one is missing out on some valuable wisdom, if one does not trust one's inner guidance, then one may be giving too much power away to other people. So a balance is very important.)

Many of my clients and students include Christians, Buddhists, Muslims and other minority religions as well as spiritual practitioners in the new age movement. The goal for all is to transcend the negative ego which affects all of us, no matter what our religions or spiritual practices are.

The Miniature Earth

Is there such a thing as quick fixes to become Masters?

Is there such a thing as quick fixes or even special dispensations from God to magically clear the negative ego for initiates to achieve Mastery?

I question this, because the fact is "Mastery" means to be able to master one's physical body/physical desires, to master one's feelings/emotions instead of being a victim of negative feelings/emotions, to master one's mental body instead of being victimised by one's thoughts or the programming within one's subconscious mind, to master one's lower desires, to master one's bad habits and addictions, to master one's energetic system, to master one's psychic field, to master one's spiritual bodies and so on!

So to "Master" self takes work, does it make sense for initiates to gain mastery through quick technics or be given dispensations without truly earning it? What will be the world become if the Masters of this planet are given Ascended Masters' status and yet are constantly victimised by their feelings/emotions, or have a habit of cussing, smoking or drinking, or are not able to earn a decent living or have issues with manifesting their puzzle pieces or are completely disorganized, or are criminals! If Masters operate like this, what can we say about the rest of humanity?

There have been arguments amongst spiritual practitioners that there are new dispensations given to humanity to clear the negative ego much faster than the tried and tested methods of the Ascended Masters who have walked the path. From what I know, those who proclaim this, do not have a clue how the negative ego operates, let alone master it. However those who are working on developing their consciousness through sheer determination, courage, and self honesty know how tricky the negative ego is. And many on this path, have already tried the so called quick fixes and 'special dispensations' and know for a fact that they are all based on illusions!

The path towards Integrated Mastery requires work, period. It is not given for free.

I would think God has lost the plot if I had to go through hundreds of lifetimes to learn the thousands if not millions of lessons and then be told that I can now become a Master without doing any work.

Passing initiations and being a Master means - thinking, feeling, acting, behaving, speaking, eating, breathing, sleeping, meditating, exercising, accomplishing, organizing, creating, manifesting, healing, teaching, learning, giving and receiving like one.

I know no dispensations can do this for me. Only I can do this for myself with the help of God, spirit, the masters and the rest of my brothers and sisters on earth.

"Who is a human?  One endowed with a "mind" is a human being.  A person without the thinking faculty can never feel kind or compassionate.  They alone are true human beings, who instinctively assist those who are in distress and seeking help. One must be eager to wipe  the tears of others.  You must always endeavor to help and give relief to those who are suffering." From Sai Inspires...

Teaching

Someone said to me recently that preparing to teach a class is not as easy as it looks. She said that while preparing the notes for her class, she has to make sure that she knows the information and have integrated the info to a certain extent before she can teach it. And that it is not just a matter of compiling notes together.

I agree.

In fact the process of compiling notes and preparing the content of the lecture requires one to learn the lessons and interestingly, one may find that life itself also helps to partake in the integration process by dishing out all the necessary lessons.

In my early days as a spiritual teacher, I was often confronted by challenging lessons and some are very funny ones too. For eg. the computer decides to retire just 2 days before the workshop; attacking phone calls and emails from 'fellow lightworkers' a day before a major workshop; the door to the healing centre where I was doing the class refuses to open until the owner turned up 30 mins later; being booted out of the booked venue a month before the spiritual event because someone claimed I was a devil worshipper (isn't this hilarious!); a partner then who was also a spiritual teacher was becoming a father soon but I was not the pregnant one, and I found this out just before a workshop/class - the dramas of life but all very funny.

They were certainly very valuable because they helped me to integrate all the lessons I was going to teach like owning my personal power, being the master of my feelings/emotions, learning when to let go, and so many more.

As I continue to teach, I am sure there will be many more lessons coming my way. So I totally agree that teaching is not as easy as it looks.

So to all of you spiritual teachers out there, three cheers to you, your service work and commitment to be the best that you can be, so that others can learn by your better example.

Namaste.

This is so inspiring

"You must cultivate charity, which does not mean giving some money to a person in need or to an organization. Charity calls for the removal of all evil thoughts that are within you and development of a largeness of spirit....When you look around today you find that there is little evidence of sacrifice for the sake of society. A person may call oneself a great devotee, or spiritual aspirant or a scientist, but without a spirit of sacrifice there is nothing great in the person. Seva (service) is the salt which lends savour to life. The spirit of sacrifice imparts fragrance to living. One may live for 60, 70, or 80 years but it will have no meaning unless his/her life has been devoted to the ennobling of one's character and rendering devoted service to others. What you must aspire for are not buildings, positions or factories and industries; a good character is the greatest wealth you can acquire." From Sai Inspires.....

Struggling For Power

Juggling

I just wrote on my other blog on Platinum Light about how I am juggling my time since Toby has been away. I get quite a few emails from spiritual practitioners asking how to manage all of life's challenges and yet keep up with one's spiritual practices. I will not repeat what I said on the other blog. But I would like to comment on spiritual practices.

Yes it is so important to keep up with one's spiritual practices no matter what is happening in one's life. If we keep an open mind and allow ourselves to adapt our practices, we can actually pack in a lot even if we do not get a chance to do a sit down meditation.

Here are some examples of how you can incorporate your spiritual practices in your daily life, many of these are inspired by Joshua:

• While working in front of your computer ask to be aligned with the Ascension Seat of any of your favourite masters

• While walking anywhere, align with the earth and ground your energies

• Chanting the name of God or pray while cooking, ironing, doing the laundry

• Ask for healing while napping or falling asleep

• Clearing your energy system while having a shower or bath

• Ask for infusion of light or spiritual vitamins while eating

• Do the core fear matrix program anytime, anywhere and in any situations!

• Play affirmation or meditation Cds in the background while working

• Take 2 min breaks every hour to align with your Mighty I AM Presence and to re-establish your Golden Bubble of Protection

• Ask to be hooked up to the Arcturian Joy Machine at anytime!

• Ask for a 100% increase in light quotient and re-vitalization of your physical cells from Lord Arcturus and the Arcturians when you feel drained

These are some of the things you can integrate into your daily life and it doesn't take more time, you are just making full use of your time!

Inspiring Words From Sai Baba

The human body is spoken of as a temple where the individual soul is installed. I would prefer to describe it as a house taken on rent by you. God is the Master, the owner. The jeevi (tenant) has taken it on rent and is occupying it. The rent has to be paid in the form of good deeds, good thoughts, good speech and good conduct. But, the tenant ignores the owner and does not pay the rent. So, the Master has to compel the man to vacate. He sends 'notices' reminding him of the need to vacate, unless he pays the rent. Grey hairs are the first intimation; the tenant dyes his hair and pays no heed to the warning. The teeth fall out; that is the second warning. The tenant gets a denture fixed and ignores this reminder too. Cataract in the eye is the next warning of the need to leave the house; an operation helps him to pass it by. Glasses restore his sight. The skin becomes loose, wrinkled. This warning too is unheeded; the man hides the signal with the help of cosmetics. So, the owner has to send his emissaries - a few fatal illnesses - and force him to clear out of the house. Why stick on, for years, like crows? Far better to live happily like a royal swan, albeit for a short span. Live ideal lives through controlled minds. - Divine Discourse, February 5, 1981.

Mixed Reactions

I posted this sharing on Platinum Light's Weblog yesterday:

It is interesting how so many different people reacted and responded to my honest description of who I am and my personal life experiences written in my personal bio.

Most women applauded my courage and honesty and I think this is because women can relate to my past experiences to a certain extent and that an honest voice regarding women's issues give women a sense of 'united front', so to speak.

My apologies to anyone if they found my personal account offensive, however, I do not apologise for all the experiences I went through that made me who I am today. I do not feel ashamed about my past, neither do I feel a need to keep it private. I am a Life Coach and if I cannot use my own past to inspire others to live their life of meaning, then what I will be teaching will only come from knowledge and not wisdom.

Just so people are aware, date rape is an extremely common occurrence, and in truth should not be kept 'hush hush' as it only exacerbates this 'phenomena'. And most of the time, women only realize that it has happened to them only after the fact. It is more a psychological victimization than a physical one. Often times, these experiences are not in anyway physically violent in nature. Women who experienced date rapes feel dis-empowered and psychologically weak, emotionally needy, and lack self worth. Often times, these qualities are already present in them even before the date rape experience, thus setting them up to be psychological victims of men who get off being a dominator. I am of course, speaking in a more generalized sense and that not every victim of date rape experience it the same way. And that not every date rapist actually planned it as such. Most of the time, the men do not even realise that they are doing anything wrong.

I have counseled women who have been raped by friends, partners and spouses and it is indeed very hard for both the raped and rapist to come to terms to what has happened. You may be surprised to hear this. But this is true even in the case of the date rapist.

This only show us the lack of psychological clarity people are suffering from. We all need to learn basic respect for our fellow human beings instead of living in a reality of self-centredness, but in truth we have a long way to go just by looking at the way the earth, plants and animals are being treated.

Anyway, my point in this sharing is really about expressing myself as a Life Coach and a Counselor and that I come from a position of empowerment, nothing less.

Important things

One of the most important things in life for me is to seek the meaning/intention behind all that I do. I think this has kept me on track for the past 10 years or so, after having been so 'lost' prior to that.

Even if the intention is a simple one, but when it allows me to become a better person because of it, it gives me a sense of fulfillment knowing that I have left a mark (no matter how small) in the history of the human race.

Being human means we have the ability to evolve our thoughts, feelings/emotions, and actions. So why not dedicate every moment of our lives to this cause and ultimately to see how we can all play a part in the evolution of the human race.

The world at this point needs us, all 6 billion of us to make the change that it needs right now. If we want a better tomorrow for our children and their future generations, then we have to begin now.

So shine your light of joy, compassion, love and abundance!
